The term polar fleece is a broad heading used to refer to polar fleece in general however there are in actual fact 3 types of “polar fleece”.

Polar Fleece - This is a traditional type of fleece that more people think of when they say polar fleece. It has a longer fabric pile and can be prone to stretching over time.

Micro Fleece - Look and feels like a polar fleece but has a shorter pile so it tends to be less prone to stretching and attracting lint.

Bonded Fleece - Again looks and feels like a polar fleece but is “compacted” or "bonded" so the pile is shorter and more dense. The bonded fleece is the least likely to stretch out of shape and the warmest of the polar fleeces.
